Shelduck is a lovely North Quay 19 Gaff Cutter from 2010. Designed by Ted Spears, the brief was for a safe trailer sailer for exploring estuaries, river and lakes. Her light blue hull is Cedar, sheathed in GRP, with Mahogany transom and coamings. Her deck is marine ply, sheathed in GRP. Her mast is hollow Spruce and the other spars are solid Douglas Fir, with bronze fittings and Terylene sails. Her lifting keel pivots on a stainless steel bolt fitted through the ballast keel. She comes complete with a Brenderup trailer and Honda 5.5hp outboard engine, serviced annually. A beautifully designed and built day boat.
