Tough and Seaworthy North Cape 34
This sturdy steel Noordkaper 34 will take you wherever you want to go. This yacht, designed by Martin Bekebrede, is very suitable for trips along distant coasts.
With her Pilothouse and ketch rigging, she provides a lot of security in any weather. The ship is heavily built, with the keel in 10 mm steel, the hull in 6 mm, and the superstructure in 4 mm. She is welded both on the outside and inside, which brings a lot of strength. The entire ship was treated with epoxy immediately after welding, and there is no trace of rust on the entire ship.
Upon boarding, the 30 cm high bulwark, on which the sea rail is mounted, is immediately visible (all together 90 cm high). The cockpit is spacious and deep.
Entering the Pilothouse, you will see a bench with a table on the port side, where you can sit comfortably, looking out over the water. To starboard is the inboard steering position.
Downstairs, the galley/compartment is to starboard, and to port is 'the office', a spacious workplace. A little further to the front is the dining table, and to starboard is a spacious wet room.
At the front of the ship, there is a spacious cabin with a double bed and plenty of cupboards for clothing (storage and hanging cupboards).
The engine is a robust Vetus Deutz D 4.29 with 65 hp. All necessary navigation and safety equipment are on board.

Improvements
Underwater hull with anti-fouling completely renewed every 2 years (last time May 2020), shaft and propeller bearings, retaining rings (2020) renewed, rudder blade with pre-balancing extended 2020 (higher effectiveness, less intervention by autopilot). Engine maintenance is carried out every year. Diesel tank cleaned (2020), water tanks cleaned and disinfected (2020), Facnor roller bearings cleaned, as well as Facnor roller genoa drum cleaned. All interior lighting converted to LED. Battery extensions, new cable, Victron ArgoFET 12 V, 2 new Vetus 125 Ah lead-acid batteries (09/2020) and 185 Ah battery (2019) connected in parallel. Fuel lines replaced per cylinder in stainless steel (2019).
