The Moody Marksman 47 is a Bill Dixon design, which can be handled by a cruising couple. It comes with in-mast furling, all lines leading back to the cockpit. They are renowned for their sea kindliness and have a strong reputation as long distance cruisers. Pintail has a 3 cabin layout with the large, comfortable, owner cabin aft, with excellent storage. The forward accommodation is 2 bunk cabins, mirror images of each other and a shared head in the bow. Pintail has a washing machine in the storage/anchor locker forward of the head.
The current owners have lived aboard full time since 2016, cruising the Mediterranean, north Africa, Portugal, Spain & the Atlantic Islands until 2023 and crossing the Atlantic in January 2024 to the Caribbean and East Coast of the US.
