DESCRIPTION

This Moody 33 Mk.II was built in 1980. She is fully equipped for family cruising and has a seven berth layout (two forward, three in saloon and two single berths in the separate aft cabin). She has a centre cockpit with full enclosure together with very comfortable and well presented accommodation. Well worth inspection.

Accommodation

See plan: Up to seven berths in three cabins including the saloon.

Forward cabin has a V berth with infill and plenty of storage and deck hatch. Aft to heads compartment with a new Lava marine toilet, basin and shower. There are lockers opposite the heads compartment.

The saloon comprises a single settee berth to port with an L shaped settee opposite that converts to a double berth. Double leaf folding table between berths. Plenty of storage under and behind settees. At the aft end of the starboard berth is the aft facing chart table with multiple navigations and electrics.

The galley is to port and at the aft end of the saloon with a Flavel gas cooker (with grill and oven), sink and fridge. New sink and tap.

Up steps to the centre cockpit that has a separate hatch way to the aft cabin. This cabin has two single berths.

Teak and holly effect non scratch saloon sole. Curtained throughout. Carpet to aft cabin.

Spars & Sails

Masthead bermudan sloop rig. Deck stepped anodised aluminium mast. Z Spars boom, new in 2011 (Z204 section). Stainless steel standing rigging, 2002. Two sheet and two halyard winches. Slab reefing to mainsail with stack pack. Furlex head sail furling system.

Mechanical Systems

Located under centre cockpit in large engine compartment. Thornycroft D90 marine diesel engine, 1990. 35hp. Four cylinder. Fresh water cooled. 45 gallons fuel capacity in steel tank. Shaft drive to two bladed propeller. PSS stern gland seal. Approx cruising speed of some 5.5. knots. The engine has been owner maintained.

Two 12V batteries in two banks charging vie engine alternator and 240V battery charger. 110ah each, both 2014.

Construction

Built by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd in 1980. White grp hull with style stripes. Hull epoxied in 2006. Cast iron fin keel. White grp coach roof with moulded and painted ligth grey non skid decks. Alloy toe rails. Stainless steel safety rails and guard wires with alloy stanchions. Self draining cockpit and anchor well. Wheel steering to skeg hung rudder. Teak coach roof hand rails.
