Accommodation
The MGC 27 accommodates 6 people in 1 cabin. The companionway steps lead down from the cockpit to the saloon. The Forward berth separated from the saloon by a curtain offers a double berth with storage underneath and various shelf storage space, with an opening deck hatch.
Aft of the forward berth area is U-shaped settee around a central saloon table with 5ft 10ins headroom. The settees each side of the folding saloon table convert to single berths. There is a central a folding table that can easily seat six. There is storage space behind and below all seating areas. The saloon is upholstered in grey cloth. The saloon has new windows fitted over the past 3 years.
Aft of the saloon and to starboard is an Aft facing chart table that has room for an array of instruments and good storage space for charts. Aft of the chart table is the heads with a marine heads, sink with pressurised cold water.
The galley - located in the aft port corner of main saloon is equipped with a two-burner hob gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink, both electric pump and manual operation for cold water taps, a top loading fridge and plenty of storage space. The two plastic freshwater tank hold approx. 200 litres.
Aft of the galley is a double quarter berth with storage space beneath. The companionway steps leads up to a spacious cockpit with large locker and central mainsheet.
Sails and Spars
The MG C27 has a Bermudian sloop factional rigged deck-stepped Proctor aluminium mast and boom with slab reefing mainsail and Furlex furling headsail system with the option for a self-tacking job. Stainless steel standing rigging (replaced 2010) With spectra/Dyneema core, running rigging. Adjustable backstay and a Pfeiffer extending telescopic whisker pole, with a Selden retractable bowsprit. There is also the Proctor conventional spinnaker pole

The engine had a full top end rebuild in 2005, pistons, rebore etc. It has a saildrive (new seal and gaiter fitted 2013) to a Volvo two-blade folding propeller fitted 2005. Single lever Morse controls. 50 Litre steel fuel tank. Last out of water service April 2019

History and Construction
The MGC 27 Designed by Rob Humphreys and built by Northshore has a white GRP hull, with white GRP deck and super structure. A self-draining cockpit. Non-slip moulded areas on the decks. A cast iron lifting keel. Epoxied in 1987 and 2007.
