DESCRIPTION
Boat Description
The Marcon 34 is a centre cockpit design featuring a separate aft cabin accessed through a companionway located behind the steering wheel. The aft cabin includes a navigation area with ample space for charts, enhancing the spaciousness of the saloon area. Access to the saloon is through the main companionway, where an L-shaped galley is situated to port and heads to starboard. This particular vessel is equipped with roller-boom reefing and has received extensive TLC from her current owners over the past 8 years.
Owner CommentsWe have sailed her as far East as Ramsgate and Fecamp. We have sailed her as far South as St Malo and the Channel Islands. We have sailed her via the Isles of Scilly to Southern Ireland and back. She has proven to be a stable and safe vessel, demonstrating her capability to perform in challenging conditions.
Improvements and Repairs- Repaired the self-steering gear.
- Replaced the anchor winch with a new one.
- Purchased a new Garmin map sat-nav.
- Replaced the toilet.
- Had the skeg rebuilt and installed a new shoe to support the rudder.
- Installed a new DSC marine VHF radio.
- Installed a carbon water filter for the galley cold water.
- Replaced all taps on 1 basin and 2 sinks.
- Rebuilt the rolling gear for the boom.
- Descaled the engine, which now has no issues with water flow.
- Replaced the starter motor and alternator.
- Installed new batteries along with a smart mains charger.
