The MacGregor is famous as the most successful model of a hybrid sailboat/ powerboat ever designed and produced. There is a comfortable cockpit while underway and good cabin accommodations to allow extended stays. As a powerboat it is able to cruise along in the upper teens with a top end of 24 MPH. It is powered by a Mercury 50 HP 4-stroke engine. This four-stroke engine is clean, quiet and economical. As a sailboat it has a traditional sloop rig, with mainsail and roller headsail. It is also equipped with radar and GPS-chartplotter. She has a dodger, a top bimini, and a newer 130% genoa. Traditional controls are used with sheets leading to the cockpit and winches port and starboard. There are twin lifting rudders as well. She also has a mast raising system installed. Below is an open cabin with multiple berths, a small galley, dinette and enclosed head for comfortable stays on board. With a small water tank, head and galley you can keep the crew well taken care of.
