Famous LUHRS quality and design. Knowledgeable fishermen agree that LUHRS designer were brilliant in the way they designed the Cockpit which puts the Captain in the heart of the fishing action.
This LUHRS is powered by the trusted YANMAR 6BY260 fresh-water cooled 260hp diesel engines which were upgraded by YANMAR in 2012. YANMAR installed new turbos, heat exchangers, and other major work. The result is that these engines now operate with great power and accelleration while running with great economy.
It is said that virtually every YANMAR engine ever produced is still running! Probably not factual, but is does speak to the reputation of reliability YANMAR has earned over the years.
The twin diesel engines are driving twin bronze screws through two YANMAR Model KMH40A 2.54:1 ratio reverse reduction gears.
This LUHRS is made for fishing.........and yes, it catches fish!
NOTE: August 2015.......New generator head mated to reliable KUBOTA engine! It may be warm outside, but I can imagine that ice-cold cabin air. Awesome!
