A stunning performance catamaran that was extensively and tastefully refit in, FORCE is now for sale. A real thoroughbred constructed exclusively from high-tech materials: glass/kevlar and epoxy resins over core cell foam. She was well ahead of her time in both design and construction which allows her today to keep up with her peers in class - the Gunboat 60s and 62s - and to easily outrun the Catana 59s, 65s and Outremer 5Xs with their wide-body hulls. Consider her key dimensions: 65 foot waterline, 32 foot beam, 18 tons, 85 foot mast, 9 foot dagger-boards, 3 foot bridgedeck clearance and 2000 sq foot sail area: it all spells grace, power, and swift passage offshore.

Her owner, a passionate fan of distinctive yachts, has restored her beautifully and configured her to be sailed short-handed and even single handed. He recorded several days over 250 miles sailing single-handed between Bermuda and the Caribbean last fall.

The recent refit was comprehensive: the interior was gutted and new systems, new plumbing, new wiring and electronics installed. The highlights are new twin 75 HP Yanmar engines with 11/4" shafts (she motors at 8 to 11 kts), new water-maker, new appliances. The new galley and salon feature hand-crafted mahogany joinery. On deck, the twin helm stations and deck hardware were entirely reconfigured to allow simplified handling from the port helm station. The rig and standing rigging are all new 2012.
