DESCRIPTION

Renovated flatboat with overdue maintenance in paintwork

Always maintained with great care this Kersten Lemsteraak. In any case from 1976 the ship has always spent the winter in the shed. Currently the current owner is the 6th owner of the ship in a row. Besides the annual maintenance of ship and engine, in recent years major renewals and repairs have been carried out. The gunwale, cockpit, deck and cabin roof are finished with teak and richly carved. After the Pelikaan was finished by Hoogmoed, the owner sailed it in the Netherlands for a year. Then the Pelikaan sailed to her berth in Hable in southern England. After being sold to the second owner in England, she was transported by road to Doncaster, Nothingham to be used as a motor yacht on the River Don. She then spent two years in the shed. After purchase by the Sjoerdsma family in December 1976, they had the boat brought from England by trailer and launched in Huizen in the spring of 1977.
