Design Overview

With the design of the Silhouette, naval architect James S. Krogen proved once again that understatement is the ultimate expression of elegance. Krogen, disciplined to the stringent demands of commercial design, adhered to the same tough criteria for his pleasure craft. There is no waste. No superficiality. A master merger of tried and true seaworthiness with salty intuition and boundless imagination.

In a bold break from typical power cruiser design, the Silhouette combines speed and performance capabilities with features that promote an intimacy with the sea that is not only unusual, but also beautiful and exciting. Her look is aggressive, her comfort superb. Sleek and graceful, she plains the water effortlessly.

Layout & Accommodations

Once aboard from either side deck, two steps take you to the Control Deck which accommodates outside dining and comfortably allows guests to accompany the pilot when underway with its U-shaped settee, table and wet bar.

Living quarters below deck are bright with natural light through brand new windows and fresh sea breezes. Fine teak enriches the Silhouette's contemporary features and styling. The spacious amidships salon is well appointed with built-in breakfast bar, sofa and cabinetry.

Forward of the salon, the fully-equipped galley takes care of the chef's needs with ease. The deluxe service step-down Galley leaves nothing to be desired: Three burner stove, with added induction cooktop, convection microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, double stainless steel sink and extensive cabinetry. A broad breakfast bar serves as a divider.

Further forward guests are treated royally with a private, double-bed stateroom and adjacent shower and head.

Aft of the salon, the Owner's Stateroom aft is one of the true highlights of the vessel - this space is extremely roomy for a vessel in this size category. Here you are offered broad windows to starboard and sliding teak and glass doors that open wide to the private aft deck with unobstructed views. The amenities are complete with a walk-around double bed, vanity, private head with tub, abundant stowage and walk-in closet.

The well-sheltered Control Deck has high visibility and is easily accessed from salon, side-decks, or the aft deck. This area doubles as a congenial lounge with U-shaped settee, folding leaf table and wet bar.

Performance

The Silhouette's performance hull has a fine entry, is slightly rounded forward and hardens out to a shallow V aft making her quick to plane for a smooth, steady and dry ride with maximum fuel economy. Her keel is kept shallow to boost efficiency when on the plane. A double chine is used to maximize available living space above the waterline and catch spray when underway.

The twin Volvo 306 HP TAMD 61A configuration offers the perfect propulsion system for this boat. Visibility and spaciousness at the helm is exceptional and comparable with much larger vessels. This is a great sea boat with all the comforts of home.

BananaBelt Boats & Yachts

A True Family-Owned Business BananaBelt Boats and Yachts, founded in 2000 by John and Connie Ripley, began with a goal to create a ‘friends and family’ atmosphere. Since 2005, BananaBelt has led in sales of boats between 28' and 70' in the Pacific Northwest. In 2013, their daughter Amy Thornton and her husband Matthew took over, expanding the business significantly. They doubled their boat capacity and offer on-land moorage, a rare and valuable service in the region. Now led by Matthew and Amy, the team of marine professionals works to make buying and selling boats convenient, easy, and fun. As lifelong boaters, they own the On-Land Marina and the infrastructure to assist in every step of the boating process. The On-Land Marina, unique to BananaBelt, stores most boats on 5+ acres with walkways between them, allowing for easy viewing and access. This concept offers customers the ability to inspect entire hulls and easily browse numerous boats in one place. BananaBelt also owns 2 KMI Sea-Lifts, allowing quick and safe movement of boats up to 70’ and 100,000lbs between the water and the on-land marina, saving time and money. BananaBelt Boats & Yachts is still growing, with plans to expand further. When you buy or sell with them, you join the Banana Family and gain access to a growing range of services that enhance your boating lifestyle.
