Boat Overview

This VPLP-Verdier designed IMOCA flexed her muscles straight out of the blocks coming 2^nd in the Vendée Globe (2016/17) with Alex Thomson and Hugo Boss demonstrating the boat's resilience and performance qualities.

Ownership History

In 2019, 11th Hour Racing took over the helm in preparation for The Ocean Race, and later used her as a prototype for performance measurement. The boat was re-fitted with a new pair of foils, improving both behaviour and performance.

Recent Modifications

In 2021, Benjamin Dutreux acquired the boat, and she is now raced under the Guyot Environnement – Water Family banner. After major modifications, Benjamin took part in several races with strong results over 2022. In 2023, the boat competed in The Ocean Race & the Transat Jacques Vabre. A major refit and outstanding optimisations have been completed between 2023 & 2024 to include:

• A newly designed bow (by VPLP)
• New bowsprit
• New mast
• New rudders

Current Status

Currently, the boat is race prepared to enter the 2024 edition of the Vendée Globe. She has been continuously optimised to remain competitive with the newer generation of boats. We look forward to seeing her perform in the upcoming Vendée Globe; she will be available to view with full inventory after the Race.
