2000 IMOCA 60 'One Planet One Ocean'

Boat Overview

Launched as Kingfisher, this very smart IMOCA 60 was designed by Owen Clarke Design and constructed by Marten Marine in New Zealand. She was commissioned by Offshore Challenges for Ellen MacArthur for the 2000/1 Vendee Globe, where she achieved an amazing second place. Ellen went on to secure a 1st with Kingfisher in the 2002 Route de Rhum. Additionally, campaigned by Mark Turner & Nick Moloney, Kingfisher achieved 3rd in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2001.

Current Status

As One Planet One Ocean, this trusty IMOCA 60 continues to place well in Round the World Races. She had a complete refit in preparation for the Vende 2020/1 and now Owen Clarke Performance Yacht Brokerage are proud to bring her to market.

Construction and Specifications

Her construction is made up of an Epoxy Carbon Nomex and Airex core sandwich hull, superstructure, and deck, all painted in Grey/Blue. She features:

• Canting keel
• Two centreboards
• Two rudders

• Downwind: 570m²
