As I first approached this boat at the marina, I was very impressed by her overall clean and tidy appearance. Her hull and topsides looked bright, tidy and clean. She gave me an overall first impression of a much loved, well looked after, clean and tidy yacht. A testament no doubt to her current owner!

Looking at her spray dodgers, sprayhood and mainsail bag they all looked to be in very good condition and were of a vibrant blue colour with what appeared to be little or no UV damage indicating either they are relatively new or stowed below out of season.
Stepping aboard and into the deep wide cockpit I was impressed by the array of cockpit instruments installed which would provide the skipper with a very nice display of navigation information whilst underway.
Moving down below you would be mistaken to think you were on a bigger boat. I felt the forepeak is a really nice size giving a good sized double berth with a privacy screen which can be raised and lowered with ease. She has a large saloon area with sumptuous bench seating either side with more seating close to the forepeak. Her saloon table is very large and can be folded to accommodate those onboard as required. I did note that part of the wooden floor panel near the saloon table did give slightly underfoot and will need some basic attention.
She has a large very usable chart table again with a nice array of navigational aids fitted. She also benefits from what I would describe as a large heads for this size of boat and a well-designed galley with a gimballed hob and oven.
The rear cabin is also surprisingly large and again I feel would make a comfortable double berth and with the higher freeboard incorporated into the design of this boat, the headroom is surprisingly good.
Overall I feel that this boat is an honest, tidy boat with a good interior fit out. Some of the Hunters that I’ve seen in the past were not quite as well finished/furnished or fitted out inside as well as this one is.
As can be seen from the boats listing details, the current owner has continually upgraded and maintained this boat to a very high standard with no expense spared. For example the standing rigging and guardrails were replaced in 2021 along with a full engine service and a new exhaust elbow having been fitted.
She also offers a self-tailing Jib, and the owner believes the mainsail to be from 2014 with the Kicker upgraded from bloc n tackle in 2009. This boat was also antifoul November 2020 as the underwater profile picture illustrate.
The Hunter Ranger 265 was created to be a practical affordable cruiser and I feel that this boat is a very lovely example of these much sought after yachts.
The boat will be lifted for storage ashore from 24 March 2023.
