Reasonable Offers Encouraged!!

Introducing the iconic made in Maine Hinckley Bermuda 40 Centerboard Yawl "Rhodora". She is a gorgeous example of this world renowned Bill Tripp timeless design with an overhauled Westerbeke diesel engine, custom upgrades and Herreshoff interior. This classic Hinckley sailing yacht features gleaming Mahogany and Teak and Holly brightwork along with custom shelving and retractable navigation station. She is a must see pedigree yacht that has circumnavigated the world proving herself an epic two person blue water cruiser. You cannot guess her age from looking at her; B40s are forever! "The Bermuda 40 is a quintessential example of Tripp's art and masterful eye for near perfect balance. I think it can be safely said that this boat has stood the test of time, and, although the design is now 50 years old, many people, myself among them, still consider the Bermuda 40 one of the most beautiful yachts afloat." Jack Horner for Boat U.S. Boat Review. "Rhodora" is a value added offering due to her owner retiring from sailing after 40 years of attentive ownership, ten living aboard.

"Rhodora" is currently decommissioned for winter storage; please contact broker for more photos of her on the water fully commissioned with rigging and sails.

Hinckley, after graduating from Cornell University with an engineering degree. The first sailing yacht was launched in 1938 and after the war in the 50's, twelve of the Bill Tripp designed wooden hull Bermuda 40 yawls were built. The first fiberglass Bermuda 40 was built in 1959 with production continuing until 1991 with over 200 of these classics yachts built.
