This vessel was SOLD on March 15. If you are looking for a comfortable live-aboard you are going to be surprised just how spacious this 1971 Gulfstar 36 MS TC (Motorsailor/Twin Cabin) is. The center cockpit design with the aft cabin provides not only a lot of "living space" but privacy as well. And the cockpit is fully enclosed with a hardtop and canvas/isinglass surround so the comfort and convenience of the space can be used even in foul weather. The aft cabin is roomy with a nav station, twin berths, lots of storage, and a shower. There is no toilet currently in the aft cabin but plenty of room for a composting toilet to be added. The center cockpit is huge with tons of seating and lots of storage below the seats. As mentioned before, it is completely enclosed with a hardtop and isinglass all around. Stepping down into the forward cabin there is a large galley to port and a settee to starboard. The galley includes a refrigerator-freezer, sink, gas stove and oven, microwave, and plenty of storage and counter space. There is a folding countertop extender that makes the workspace even more expansive. Forward of the galley to port is a head that includes a sink, storage cabinets, and a composting toilet. Forward of the head is the V-berth with twin sleeping areas and plenty of storage. Access to the chain locker is on the forward bulkhead. The boat is powered by a Ford Lehman 4D254 80 HP diesel engine. Auxillary electrical power is provided by a Westerbeke generator, 5 - 120W solar panels with Blue Sky Energy controls, a Blue Sky Energy 3000i Solar Booster, a ProNautic 40 AMP battery charger, and a portable Ryobi 2200w generator. There are 4 Northstar 100 AMP batteries that were new in April of this year (2020). Navigation electronics include Lowrance GlobalMap 5300C iGPS/plotter, Raytheon SL70 radar, SI-TEX SP-70 autopilot, and a Standard Horizon GX2100 VHF radio. There is also a Danforth compass at the helm. On deck please be aware that the mast and standing rigging has been unstepped. No standing rigging or sails are included in the sale of this boat. Ground tackle includes a 45# CQR anchor with 200 ft of chain and a 35# plow anchor as a spare. On the aft deck, there is a 1000# dinghy lift and a swim platform. Please note that the dinghy and OB motor seen in the pictures are not included in the sale of the boat.
