The Grouwstervlet is widely known and loved. Also this beautiful vlet shows why. The carpentry is of a high standard and the finishing ditto. The paintwork is exceptionally beautiful and because the ship is always in a boathouse, the exterior is also pleasing to the eye. The sailing characteristics are fine. The Vetus engine stands its ground and the steering works directly. Maintenance has never been cut back and has always been done by Jachtwerf Grouwstervlet. The version of 'MAKKER' is special; it has a mast with support sail.

Our comments

In recent years a lot has been renewed. In 2021 a new bow thruster and pulpit were mounted and the cockpit drainage was renewed. Also, the diesel tank was cleaned and the antifouling renewed in the same year. In addition, the boat has a new cockpit tent with removable sides. In 1999, the entire boat was re-upholstered in teak. In the past two years the layout of the forepeak has been changed. There was a couch/bed on the bb side. In its place is the spacious toilet room. Next to the kitchen was the original toilet. That has disappeared. In the forepeak is now a double v-bed of course with new mattresses.
The hull was painted in 2005. There are some minor damages. The painting of the superstructure is from 2014. Because the boat is always inside, the painting and paintwork is in excellent condition.
The new paneling of the forepeak has not yet been completed under the new beds. Because the owner recently passed away, this could not be completed.
We inspected the boat extensively and test sailed with it. In doing so, we did not find any imperfections.
Seriously interested people can view 'MAKKER' at the shiphouse in Grou by appointment only.

Layout

Open cockpit with benches all around. In it a lot of storage space. In the rear bench a cool box. Under the gunwales cabinets and under the cockpit floor a generous storage space.
Salon with a corner bench on the starboard side. This can be extended and serve as a bed. Port side lockers and the steering position.
Forward cabin with the kitchen to starboard. Opposite a deep closet and the toilet room.
Forward cabin (without door) with a large V-bed.
