The Grand Soleil 40 which we may offer is from her 2nd owner (since 2003!!) and carefully maintained.
Grand Soleil is praised for her good sailing characteristics that both with full crew and duohanded well manageable, thanks to her deep rudder blade and 2.15m lead keel she steers very comfortable and is a real "high-performance" cruiser.

The cockpit is ergonomically laid out and the helmsman has a good seat and support and has the mainsheet within easy reach. Thanks to the under deck autopilot, she is also good to sail solo. Further in the cockpit we find the substantial selftailing genoa winches and on the bridge deck 2 winches for all halyards and reefing lines.
The gangways are equipped with a glued teak deck and is in exceptionally good condition, this is because her semi-first owner has always maintained it well and provided her with Boracol and never brushed her. This is sure to last a long time.

The hull was repainted a few seasons ago to a beautiful white color (original dark blue) and makes her look a lot more modern.

The interior is warm and features the 2-cabin layout, with directly on the port side therefore a generous wet cell with separate shower and access to the (substantial) port stateroom. To starboard we have the navigation table equipped with various built-in appliances and access to the aft cabin. This is spacious due to the lack of a 2nd aft cabin and equipped with closet space and bookshelf.

The saloon enjoys a longitudinally positioned galley, this provides plenty of practical work space and storage. Among other things, here we have a 2-burner stove, top loading cooler and double sink with running w/c water. The cozy U-seat with separate bench offers plenty of room for about 6 people.

In the bow is a double V-bed (equipped with step) and substantial closet space.
