"Kizzie" is a very clean and tidy example of a Gib'Sea 37, This boat is immaculately presented and well worth an early viewing. The GibSea 37 has many innovative features including a tougher TWARoozes comm re-inforced hull and industry setting anchor stowage and deployment system to avoid any direct handling of the ground tackle. The interior is vast for a boat of this size with a comfortable saloon, large cabins and immense heads compartment to complement the robust and substantial handling properties of the boat. A berth at Dover Marina is also available by separate negotiation.
This Gib'Sea 37 offers seven berths in two cabins and the saloon. The Forward cabin has a V-berth which makes a large double berth with storage underneath. It has an opening deck hatch which makes the forward cabin light and airy. It has a hanging locker.
Aft of the Forward Cabin is the saloon which has a large U-shaped settee berth to starboard. A large saloon table with drop down leaves and central bottle storage which can easily seat six people. The starboard settee berth converts to make a double berth There is an additional single settee berth to port. It has ergonomic blue cushions and seat backs with washable covers. It has a dust tray under the saloon sole boards. There is also storage space under the settee berths. There is a TV mounted in the saloon and also a stereo system. The yacht is also fitted with Webasto diesel cabin heating
Aft of the Port settee berth is the aft facing navigation station It has a chart table with a 12v electrical panel with circuit breakers and 12v plug, Nav seat and stowage, reading light and fixed port light on coach roof.
Aft of the Navigation station is a U-shaped galley. It has a Cabi laminated counter top with fiddle, stainless steel sink, hot and cold water, chromed brass tap for pressurised hot and cold water, lots of stowage for food and pots and pans, 2 burner gas cooker and oven, approx. 130 litre 12v fridge with ice box with drain tap, There is a neon light above galley, opening port light on coach roof side. The hot water is heated via the engine and a 240v immersion heater. The yacht has a 430l litres in two tanks 1 x 180 and 1 x 250 litres of cold water tank.
Aft of the starboard settee berth is the heads which has a white vanity unit with shower, marine head, wash basin with compact laminated counter top, mirror, deckhead light and stowage unit with shelf and opening port. It has a 35l holding tank.
Aft of the Heads is the owners, double berth. It has a double berth, hanging locker with shelf on top, hull length shelves, access to rear of the engine, access to batteries under the berth to starboard and opening ports,.
The companionway steps with their teak hand rails, lead up to the cockpit which has a good array of lockers and good seating space.
The vessel is constructed from multi mat GRP and of a solid construction below the waterline, finished in polished gelcoat on the exterior surfaces. The vessel’s hull is hand laid-up in a mould and a foam core material was used above the waterline for added strength and insulation. Around the keel area Twaron woven with glass fibre is used for further strengthening. A separately moulded inner liner was lowered into the hull and bonded to the hull using structural adhesives at contact points and direct lamination in areas around the keel securing where bays are cut-out. The inner moulding and deck are both injection moulded and in the case of the deck, a balsa type core is used around high load areas.
This 2002 built 2003 model Gib'Sea 37 was launched in 2004 has a white hull and superstructure. The hull and keel have been copper coated. The coach roof, foredeck and side decks are moulded with very efficient non-skid finish. Teak decking laid in the cockpit on the seats and sole. Pulpit with dolphin nose fitting with double in-line rollers and stainless steel stem head fitting. GRP semi-balanced spade hung rudder. The yacht was last out of the water in June 2023 when the shaft bearing and anodes where changed. The hull was polished and copper coat reactivated.
This Gib'Sea has a Bermudan Masthead sloop rig with Alloy deck stepped mast double spreader mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging replaced 2015. Running rigging has all been replaced between 2015 and 2023 .Manual backstay adjuster. The mainsail has slab reefing and drops into a stack pack with lazy jacks. It has a Selden furling Headsail system.
