DESCRIPTION

Freeward 25 built by Northshore yachts in circa 1974/5. Designed by Freeman and Wyatt, this design was offered alongside the more common Fisher 25 and are seen to be highly desirable as they are not as common.
"Huntress" is a good example and sports a classic green hull, cream topsides and a half wheelhouse that offers more shelter. She comes with a Volvo Penta MD2030 inboard diesel, tan in mast furling main and a roller furling genoa. The interior is bright and comfortable with newly upholstered berth cushions.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2030-C inboard diesel engine. It is believed that the engine was installed in 2000/1. Engine is situated beneath the companionway steps and allows access for servicing and daily checks. The cockpit sole is removable and allows access to the reduction gearbox, the stern tube and the exhaust water lock. Key start with preheat. Rev counter mounted in cockpit. Single lever engine control with forward and reverse gearing.
Stainless steel shaft driving 3-bladed bronze propeller.
Bank of 3X12V batteries fitted with isolator keys. These provide domestic and engine start power. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator or the solar panel situated on the dog house roof. Vessel comes with shore power.

Rigging

Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with mast head rig. Deck stepped, gold anodised aluminium spars by KEMP with single set spreaders. Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene braid on braid running rigging. Mast has bolt on in mast furling system with tan coloured mainsail. Roller furling headsail system. Majority of lines led aft for ease.
