1982, sail No 71, one of the last built, cutter rig with bowsprit, long keel with lifting plate, sails new 2002 to 2004, keel bolts renewed 2006, last survey 2007, very attractive modern classic.
Yanmar 1GM 7.5 HP single cylinder inboard diesel engine with raw water cooling (1982). Alternator charging to one 85 amp/hr 12 volt battery (2009) with second battery installed in 2011. Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller. New engine seacock valve fitted 2015.
Sestrel Grid compass, Plastimo Compass, Knotmaster log and speed, Simrad RD68 VHF radio, autohelm 600, radar reflector, barometer, nav light, steaming light and tri colour masthead light, oil anchor light.
Jackstay lifelines on coachroof, Danbuoy, one lifebuoy, 2 safety harnesses, distress flares, fire extinguisher, 2 manual bilge pumps, life loop.
Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, cockpit cover, winter cover, boarding ladder, tiller, whisker pole, 2 sheet winches, one halyard winch, 20lb CQR main anchor with chain, 12.5lb Bruce kedge anchor with chain and warp, various mooring warps and 3 fenders.
Slab reefing mainsail (Jeckells, 2002) with mainsail cover. Furling Jib on bowsprit (James Lawrence, 2004), new uv strip fitted 2013. Hanked staysail (James Lawrence, 2004). Storm Jib (Jeckells). Alloy mast and stainless steel standing rigging (standing rigging renewed in December 1998).
She has solar air vents. Her galley has a spirit cooker with 2 burners, foot pumped water supply from Jerry can. Marine toilet (new toilet intake seacock fitted 2014). Beige upholstery with curtains.
She has 3 berths including a single berth in the forepeak and 2 single settee berths either side of a folding saloon table.
Yard launching trolley, usable but needs repair for long term. Also newly renovated "whole length canvas" winter cover and frame (2014)
âSea-Pieâ was purchased by her current owner in 2010. Her previous owner purchased her from A F Platt when new. She has been used purely for East Coast cruising and pottering. She is wintered ashore at a local sailing club annually. Her keel bolts were replaced in 2006 and the pivot bolt replaced at the same time (spare pivot bolt available). She has received a good deal of regular maintenance over the years. Her topsides were last painted in 2016, her decks are GRP sheathed marine ply (repainted 2015), her engine is serviced twice a year and her sails are good. She currently lies ashore at a local sailing club. A 2007 survey is available.
