AccommodationThe Feltz Skorpion 11 MS layout offers up to five berths with two double berths in separate sleeping cabins and good headroom throughout (approx. 6'1" maximum).
FORECABIN: Fitted with a generous V berth with infill to create a double berth and opening hatch to foredeck. Good storage space in overhead lockers, hanging locker, and beneath berth stowage.
HEADS: Separate compartment forward to port fitted with a marine toilet and storage. Although there is currently no washbasin or shower fitted these could easily be added if required.
SALOON: Consisting of a settee berth to port, table, and smaller settee to port with a forward-facing chart table above.
GALLEY: The U-shaped galley aft to port is ideal for cooking whilst underway and is equipped with a Taylors two burner paraffin cooker with oven, twin stainless steel sinks, top opening fridge, and ample storage in a range of custom storage holders and cupboards.
AFT PASSAGEWAY: Located aft to starboard, fitted with excellent storage in a range of lockers and also providing access to the engine compartment.
AFT CABIN: The owner's aft cabin is fitted with an offset double berth, seating area, opening hatch to the aft deck, portlights, and plenty of stowage areas.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Pressurised hot and cold water supply via a calorifier with immersion coil. Webasto diesel-fired warm air heating system (requires repair/replacement).
Mechanical SystemsLocated under cockpit sole and with excellent access from the aft passageway, Yanmar 4JHE 49hp 4-cylinder marine diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Morse type single lever controls with electric start. Steel 350L fuel tank. Shaft drive to 3-bladed fixed propeller.
The engine has been well maintained by her knowledgeable owner and appears to be in good condition, and the hourmeter has recorded 2,464hrs running time. It was last serviced in 2021 and has been very lightly used since.
Electrical Systems12v Domestic batteries (require changing), engine start, and anchor windlass batteries (new 2019) all charged via engine alternator. Split charge diodes and alternator booster. Shore power system with ring mains and immersion coil for water heating. Solar panel with charge regulator. Electrical distribution panel. Battery isolator switch. Full cabin lighting throughout.
Sails & SparsMasthead Bermudan deck-stepped sloop rig. Anodised aluminum mast and boom. Spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2019). Terylene running rigging. 2 x Anderson self-tailing sheet winches. 4 x Lewmar halyard winches. Boom-mounted reefing winch. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks. Hanked headsails.
Fletz Skorpion 11 MS built by Feltz Boote to a Karl Feltz design. Dark blue painted round bilge steel hull (epoxy painted in 2018), white superstructure, and light grey painted non-slip deck surfaces. Long keel with lead ballast. Wheel steering to keel hung rudder. Self-draining centre cockpit with doghouse.
In mid-August 2023 she was brought ashore, bottom inspected, prepared and antifouled, and new anodes installed.
Additional Comments'Bell the Cat' has been in her current ownership for 21yrs and has been enjoyed by her marine professional owner as a cruising base for Spain and the Balearic islands. Although she may need some equipment upgrades to suit future plans she has been maintained to a high standard and her hull and structure appear to be in excellent condition for her age. She is currently British registered, has had Spanish duties paid, and is considered EU VAT paid.
