Eastern's 248 Islander adds a touch of elegance for family day-cruising, luncheons, and sunset cruises. Eastern started out making commercial boats and then began making recreational boats. The strength of build, quality, lines and handling characteristics carried over into the recreational market.
This is a great boat for cruising, fishing, bar hopping - sand or otherwise. She's very versatile and roomy for 24'.

Call to schedule a showing!Cabin AccommodationsThe 248 Islander also serves as a functional weekender, and as such, there's a comfortable cabin for the overnights. There's V-style seating and a filler cushion will convert it into a berth 80" (203.2 cm) long by 80" (203.2 cm) wide at the stern, tapering to 17" (43.18 cm) fully forward. Headroom is 58" (147.32 cm) with 39" (99.06 cm) over the berth. There's a hanging locker to port with shelf space above surrounded by a teak railing.
There's a porta-potty toilet to starboard. Shelves to both sides of the berth are trimmed in teak and there's plenty of ventilation from opening portlights and an overhead hatch. Electrical

They handle rough seas very well and give you a smooth ride.
The "Bluefin" is definitely a "Gentleman's Lobster Boat". She will turn heads for sure. This boat is straight forward and very utilitarian...a no-nonsense vessel. She will take you out there and bring you back because that's what a "Downeast" boat is supposed to do. She has been well cared for and it shows. Her striped upholstery is classy and comfortable.
