Boat Overview
The Dehler 39 SQ is recognized as a very competent sea boat with an excellent turn of speed. This example is set up for fully crewed racing or short-handed cruising. It has not been raced for a number of years and includes a brand new Mainsail and Code 2 that have yet to be fitted to the boat. Features include a carbon rig, rod standing rigging, and Dyneema running rigging. The owner is retiring from sailing and has priced her to sell, making it an excellent value for money.

Accommodation
See plan: Six berths in three double cabins outside the saloon, with two additional single berths available in the saloon. Full standing headroom. From forward: Forward cabin with a double berth, hanging locker to starboard, and plenty of floor space.
Aft to saloon with a settee berth to starboard and U-shaped settee to port with double folding leaf table between. Aft to forward-facing chart table to starboard with seat, navigation, and electrical equipment. Opposite and to port is the L-shaped galley with two stainless steel sinks, large ice box, and three-burner gas cooker with grill and oven. Plenty of galley stowage. Aft of the chart table is the heads compartment with marine toilet (no holding tank), basin, and shower.
Aft to two double aft cabins (port one larger than the starboard one).
240V shore power with sockets, battery charger, and immersion heater. Pressurized hot and cold fresh water system. Teak and holly saloon floor. Curtained throughout. Cream upholstery. Eberspacher diesel-fired central heating system. Hot and cold pressurized fresh water system. Satin Cherry Wood fit out. Saloon table cover.
Mechanical Systems
Located under companionway. Year 2004 Yanmar 3YM30 marine diesel engine. 30hp. Three cylinders. Fresh water cooled. Sail drive unit to two-bladed folding propeller. Single lever engine control. Stainless steel fuel tank. Approx 6 knots cruising and 7 knots maximum speed under engine (loading and fouling dependent). Engine hours unknown. Last serviced in 2011 and almost unused since.
Three 12V batteries charging via engine alternator and 240V battery charger. Ring mains system with sockets, charger, and immersion heater.

Fractional sloop rig. White painted carbon fibre mast and boom, 2004. Rod standing rigging, 2004 with twin sided cascade type backstay tensioner. Dyneema running rigging, 2011 and German mainsheet system. Twin tracked head foil system. Slab reefing to mainsail. Rod kicker. Carbon spinnaker pole. Towing genoa cars. Outboard and coach roof jib tracks. Six Harken winches (48ST, 44ST & 40ST). Crossover pulleys by halyard winches. Barber haulers.

Construction
Built by Dehler GmbH in 2004. Dark blue GRP hull with style stripes. White GRP coach roof with light cream moulded non-skid decks. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Cast iron and lead fin keel. Wheel steering (leather clad) to balanced rudder. New rudder with upgraded bearing in 2012. Sugar scoop type transom. Plenty of stowage space in three cockpit lockers. Gas locker. Moulded toe rails. Six mooring cleats (including midship cleats). Special stainless steel bowsprit with tack line. Stainless steel rails and guard wires. Laid up ashore since 2012.
