By not economizing on materials during construction, the sturdy construction and round bilge spitsgatkotter shape of this Spitsgatkotter can be called unique. The Spitsgatkotter is equipped with a spacious toilet room on port side with underwater toilet. In the forepeak a very spacious double bed of > 2.00 - 2.30 m long > 2.20 m wide. A wardrobe to starboard finishes it off. The forward cabin has a hinged escape hatch with window (tempered glass renewed 2021). The headroom here is somewhat limited; approx. 1.70 m On the "bridge" is located on the port side the steering position. The aluminum dashboard has all the necessary gauges and switches. To starboard is the Bluetooth stereo system. The two benches on both sides of the ship offer good views to both sides while sailing and of course in port. Here is headroom of about 1.90. Below the floor is the engine room. Herein the BMC Thornycroft engine, which has had an extensive service in 2021, including replacing the necessary filters. Further aft one finds to port a wide work surface with sink and running water. To starboard the other part of the galley with the three-burner gas stove, gas hose and pressure gauge, all new in 2021. Here is also space to store provisions. Here, too, headroom of about 1.85. And then the exceptionally spacious round seating area for boats of this size. Here you can easily seat 6 people for drinks or meals. The windows fitted with sun protection film give a good view outside, without being able to look in from outside. Good for privacy. The table can be lowered here and transformed with the (in 2021 newly upholstered) additional cushions into another very spacious 2-person bed. The lying position here is in width and it ranges from 1.90 -2.40 m and has a width of 1.65 m. Under the benches is very much storage space in which the anchor, fenders, mooring ropes, safety equipment etc. all have their place. The boat has boat sails with window on both sides (new in 2019).
Exterior layout: The front deck has room for anchoring and recreation. The roof of the aft cabin is perfect for outdoor recreation. Because of the steel railing, a spacious sun deck is available. In addition, another large space is available on top of the main cabin roof, where it is very comfortable. On the deck are the filler caps for water and diesel. Equipment inside: There is a VHF radio available (new 2020) but needs to be connected. To starboard the characteristic copper marine instruments of the brand Inproco: Barometer, Hygrometer & Thermometer. In addition to the already mentioned Bluetooth stereo system, the ship is equipped with two stereo speakers for full sound. The fuel gauge was renewed in 2021. Furthermore, lighting is present throughout the ship on the ceiling; all working. A small refrigerator on 220 V or 12V is standard.
Through the good care of the previous owner and of course us, the ship is in excellent condition. Especially in the last period both owners put a lot of work and money into the boat. The keel is weighted, the ship is equipped with stabilizer fins and fitted with bags of ballast which guarantees stable sailing.
