“Built like a tank” best describes the CSY 44 center cockpit. CSY 44s were built to very high standards and have withstood the test of time well.
The solid fiberglass hulls are very thick and robust. No coring material was used in the hulls or the decks. The solid fiberglass decks totally eliminates deck core rot and delamination, which is a real problem on many older boats.
Gypsy Rose has a skeg-hung rudder and a modified full keel with large cutaway sections both fore and aft. This design facilitates excellent motion at sea and greatly improves maneuverability around the dock.
Her owners have lived on her in comfort for many years and have cruised her throughout the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. They recently moved off the boat and are looking to down-size and buy a smaller boat.
Gypsy Rose has been well-cared for and has benefited from many quality upgrades in the last few years. Her interior has been totally upgraded, including recent cushions, custom desk/office, AC & heat, custom solid walnut salon table, custom cabinets, granite counter tops, 2 new DC refrigerators and freezer--including new insulation, recent propane stove/oven and much more. She just had a bottom job and new packing in the stuffing box and rudder shaft.
The CSY 44 is a highly regarded blue water boat and Gypsy Rose was built to take on the rigors of cruising in comfort and safety.
