2002 Cornish Shrimper Mk2. Sail Number 892. "Blue Poppy" is a very well presented example of this extremely popular 19ft LoD traditional yacht from the Cornish Crabbers yard. Light blue GRP hull with transom hung tiller, and centreboard. Classic Mk2 single cabin layout with varnished woodwork and blue patterned upholstery and forward facing galley with gimballed stove and sink. "Blue Poppy" has a big self-draining open cockpit, secure anchor well in the foredeck, and contains enough foam buoyancy to be practically unsinkable. The shallow 1' 6” draught and lifting keel are ideal for cruising creeks and harbours, comfortably taking the ground around a tide. Genuinely trailerable, the Roger Dungray gaff rig design provides excellent sailing performance while being easily managed.
