This clinker pram dinghy has an unknown origin but has been in the river at Salcombe for over 30 years. It has undergone a recent cosmetic refit, giving it a smart appearance.
There are approximately 3 cracked timbers, which is typical for a boat of this type, but it is otherwise a sound dinghy. These prams are excellent load-carrying boats, making them ideal as tenders or for leisurely outings on the water.

ConstructionThis dinghy is clinker planked in mahogany, with all copper rivet fastening to steam-bent oak timbers. While there are 3 broken timbers, it is otherwise sound.
The hull is white painted with a varnished sheer strake. It features mahogany fore and aft transoms, along with mahogany quarter knees and a sculling notch in the aft transom.
It has oak rubbing strakes and varnished mahogany thwarts resting on an oak stringer. The sole boards are varnished slatted mahogany.
There are 2 rowing positions, allowing the rower to switch the thwart they use based on the load in the dinghy. Foot rests are located at the aft.
