Just outside the V berth cabin to port is the head. Under the shower seat are:
There is a door under the sink where the toilet paper roller is mounted. RV toilet paper is recommended to avoid clogging the macerator or marina pump out. The shower head is on a hose stored in the cabinet above and behind the head.
Salon FeaturesJust outside the V berth cabin to starboard in the salon are:
Engine maintenance includes:
For winterization:
Additional supplies needed include a siphon hose and an oil filter (filter number from the current filter). Start the main engine to warm it up, then siphon gas from the outboard engine’s tank and run it out of gas. Drain the fresh water system and switch tanks using the valves under the deck in front of the galley sink.
Winterizing the Head and Other SystemsWinterize the head by closing the inlet through hull and adding three gallons of antifreeze into the head. Pump it into the holding tank, then switch the holding tank valve to pump overboard and run the macerator pump for about 15 seconds. Use the galley foot pump to empty any water in the fridge, then add half a gallon of antifreeze and pump it out.
Winterize the bilge pumps by adding a gallon of antifreeze and using the cockpit manual pump until pink comes out of the transom. Save another gallon of antifreeze for winter condensation. Change the dinghy engine oil following the Honda manual instructions.
Final Winterization StepsAfter winterizing, close all through hulls, unplug AC power from the dock, and store the cable in the port lazarette. Remove the jib and main sails carefully, storing them in the sail bags under the V berth. Ensure the dinghy is secured over the foredeck hatch to prevent leaks.
Spring PreparationIn the spring, reverse the winterization process. Do not fill the water tanks until running the water pressure pump to clear antifreeze.
Recent UpgradesThe boat spent most of its life on the Chesapeake, sailing from Gratitude. It has very low engine hours (estimated to be 1000 hours) due to proximity to the bay. The hour meter was installed in 2013, so add 1000 hours for total estimated engine hours. The current owners believe they are the third owners. They lived in Arizona and purchased the boat in 2013, making many improvements before taking her to Maine. The boat carries a home port of Tucson, AZ. From 2013 to 2017, she was in the water in Maine for three months each year and was hauled the rest of the time.
