This Broom 38 is in good condition throughout and has nearly all of the options available from Broom Boats, including a Fischer Panda generator, making it an ideal boat for extended cruising, bowthruster for increased manoeuvrability, as well as the twin Yanmar diesel engines, Eberspacher central heating vented to all cabins, shore power, battery charger and much more, finished to a superb standard and to a famous stable. Two owners from new!

Forward Cabin: The Forward cabin provides 2 single berths in a V arrangement, reaching into the bows with bulkhead door. There is also some storage space in the form of underbunk drawers, a hanging wardrobe, shelving space. The cabin is upholstered to match the rest of the vessel and has fixed ceiling ventilation, opening ceiling hatch, side windows with opening sections and 12 volt lighting, including reading lights to the head of each bunk. There is also a central heating outlet in this cabin.
Main Saloon: The main saloon is accessed from the cockpit area down 4 short steps and features a large C shaped seating area. There is also a large chart drawer beneath the sofa area and opposite to port are locker spaces incorporating designated television and video cabinets, comprehensive drinks locker and further storage space. There is also side deck access from the saloon area via a large sliding door and up 2 steps, which also offer some further storage space and corner seating. It has12 volt ceiling lighting; reading lights; and large side and forward screens, allowing plenty of natural daylight to enter the cabin. There are opening side windows for further ventilation, as well as the fixed ventilation throughout the cabin, Eberspacher heating vented to the saloon, and also the controls for the central heating system. Engine access is very easy from the saloon area and daily checks are accessed via large lifting hatches for convenience.
Galley: From the main saloon, down 2 steps and set to starboard, the galley is comprehensive, featuring 3 burner hob with separate oven and grill compartments,, large 12/240 volt refrigerator with ice compartment, low level ventilation, fixed ceiling ventilation, opening side window, and this area also shares the daylight from the main saloon side windows and the forward screens act as large skylights, making this a very usable area. Also, there is a corner bin, large sink with hot and cold mixer tap, lockers for crockery, cutlery etc. plus a generous amount of storage space in the teak floored galley, with some additions made in construction, specified by the owner from new. The galley is also the site for the water tank level gauge.
Dinette: Opposite the galley to port, the dinette is a large C shaped sofa area and, again, with some modifications specified by the owner during construction, is a very practical area, with glass locker, shelving space, plus further storage ideas, this is an ideal dining area with easy access to the galley, and opening side window. There is also fixed ceiling ventilation, 12 volt lighting and opening ceiling hatch. The dinette area also has height adjustable table on a gas ram, which can be lowered into position and, with the addition of an infill cushion, will convert into a second double berth.
Heads & Showers: The Broom 38 has 2 heads, 1 forward and 1 ensuite to the aft cabin. In this case, the owner has specified a manual flush toilet forward, and an electric flush toilet and shower unit aft. The forward head is opposite the dinette. Therefore, is an ideal day toilet or guest toilet for anyone using the forward cabin or dinette area for accommodation. The forward head features waterproof toilet roll holder, wash basin with mixer tap, medicine cabinet, fixed shaver point, holding tank level gauge, mirror, fixed ventilation, 12 volt lighting. A very comprehensive day toilet indeed. The aft head has separate shower and toilet compartments, with the toilet being set to port with all the above features and the shower to starboard in its separate compartment, equal in volume to that of the opposite toilet compartment. It features full standing headroom, fixed shower, opening side window, shelving space and shower seat.
Aft Cabin: Accessed from the main saloon down 3 steps, the aft cabin features a handy storage space just before entering the cabin, fixed isolator point for both 12 and 240 volt systems. The cabin itself is accessed through a bulkhead door. The main feature is a fixed island bed, the aforementioned separate toilet and shower compartments, full dresser unit to starboard and further storage space to port in the form of lockers, drawers, and hanging wardrobes. This cabin is also fitted with 12 volt ceiling mounted lighting and reading lights, fixed ceiling ventilation, 2 opening aft hatches and long side windows.
Main Cockpit Area: The cockpit area has a U shaped seating area to aft and excellent access to side decks. It also features matching helmsman and navigator seats, offering a commanding helmsman position and good visibility to all sides of the boat. The helm itself has single lever morse controls for each engine, comprehensive engine instrumentation, autohelm, speed, log and depth sounder, steering compass and various isolators for nav lights, bilge pumps, windscreen wipers, etc. Beneath the aft bench is some storage space, gas locker. The cockpit is covered by a 4 piece hood system, mounted to fibreglass radar arch, which tilts back to reduce the air draught of the vessel to the top of the screen to 10’ 6”.
