Bollinger Shipyard was founded in 1946 by Donald Bollinger in Lockport, Louisiana. They are still a thriving business and are in their third generation of family ownership. They are one of the largest privately owned shipyards in the United States, with 12 plus shipyards across the Louisiana/Texas gulf coast. They have sold their fiberglass boat division of the company; in the late 70s, Bollinger Shipyards began a long partnership working with the U.S. government that continues to this day. Bollinger has built over 170 cutters for the U.S. Coast Guard and is a powerhouse in defense and commercial environments. The current owner purchased the boat with intentions of refurbishing and repowering it for offshore fishing; unfortunately, running his business has not afforded him the time to take on the project. The owner decided it was time to allow someone else to bring her back to her original glory. The engines have cranked but need some work, and the electronics are mostly original to the boat.
