Accommodations The Birchwood TS34 offers 6 berths in 2 cabins. The forward cabin offers a double island berth with lots of hanging storage space and deep drawer storage space under the berth. The second cabin to starboard has two single berths with hanging locker. The galley is fully equipped with, 4 hob gas cooker with grill and oven, fridge new 2010, sink with mixer tap, pressurised hot and cold-water supply. The saloon has a double helm position with full engine instrumentation. An L shape seating area to starboard with storage space under. The seating area to port pulls out to create an additional double berth, all reupholstered in red velour in 2010. Heated throughout via an Eberspacher D4 diesel heating system replaced in 2010. A sliding patio door takes you to a large transom area with seating with cushions, lots of locker storage space and door to bathing platform. Steps lead up to flybridge deck which has a large seating area and double helm position. Mechanical Systems Located under the aft cockpit area 2 x 200hp Volvo AD41B diesel engines, to twin sterndrives (last serviced 2017) with aluminium 3 bladed duo propellers. The engines were removed for major overhaul in 2010. Turbochargers removed in 2016 for servicing. Starboard HP injector pump removed and overhauled 2016, and some injectors replaced. Trim tabs. Electrical Systems 4 x 12 volt batteries (2011) charging from the engine alternators, 240-volt battery charger (PROwatt 1500i). Shore power connection with 240-volt ring main, one double socket, five single sockets, 1.5Kw inverter, and immersion heater. Omnidirectional TV aerial. History and Construction This Birchwood TS34 was constructed in 1990. The vessel is a production motor cruiser with a planing type medium-vee configured hull. The hull is constructed of solid polyester laminate with fibreglass matt and woven roving. The main deck and superstructure are cored fibreglass with moulded non-skid pattern to the tread areas. Last out of water service June 2017.
