‘Topaz’ of Sunbury comes with all the historic documentation dating back to the first owners, Lady Elizabeth Banks of Lymington, who owned the boat from 1935 – 1954. The original features of the boat have been maintained over the years, so adding to the charm of this pretty cruising vessel.
Original Features enhance Topaz’s vintage charm
During the original refurbishment of this charming boat, the original features were re-created. This includes the wood which is finished to a high standard inside the cabin area, and the fittings included within this vintage boat.
The side rails are original and also provide additional safety for all users of the boat. There is facility to sit in the wheelhouse and relax and savour river life, as well as chill out on the sofa areas below deck, for those days where the weather is more inclement.
Vintage Boat Clubs
You can also take part in various Vintage Boat Club events, only available to owners of classic wooden boats. So, this provides extra fun, in addition to potentially being a member of a boat club too.
On-board Facilities
Topaz has a gas cooker, fridge and hot water boiler. There are sleeping arrangements for around 2 adults and 2 children. With the main quarters converting from a family unit with a rotating table and seating area, to a double bed facility.
There is a separate toilet, wash basin and shower unit, and a small area for storing clothes.
Topaz comes with a full winter cover, mast and accessories.

Carvel construction, with a Perkins 40hp diesel petrol engine which was serviced in 2018. Top deck material is Tekdeck.
The boat was totally refurbished by the previous owners at Toughs boatyard in Teddington, Middlesex. A summary of the work included a new deck, bulkheads and interior. The engine was rebuilt, with a new propeller, shaft and rudder.
The water tank holds approximately 30 gallons and is located under the port and starboard berths. There is an on-board water heater for water and a shower unit.

There is the possibility of mooring by separate negotiation.
