"MY SHELL" - 1996 Bayliner 3988 Flybridge
"My Shell" is a clean, maintained 3988 Bayliner Flybridge that is being offered for sale for the first time since the current owners purchased her new in 1996. The vessel is powered with twin 6 cylinder 250 HP Hino diesel motors with 2,107 original hours on them. The vessel has a diesel 8.0 KW Westerbeke generator with 258 hours. "My Shell" has a roomy upper helm station with good seating, the bridge has a complete canvas enclosure that is in good condition, and also has a lower inside helm station. The interior is spacious with a raised dinette on the port side, with the galley on the opposite side of the vessel. "My Shell" offers two staterooms; the salon sofa also converts into a sleeper. There are two heads and two berths. The master stateroom has a queen inline bed. A unique feature about "My Shell" is a sit down bathtub in the master bathroom.
Over the years the owner has updated the salon sole with a PVC product that imitates Teak and Holly and tiled the countertops in the galley, along with reupholstering the L-Shaped salon sofa, giving the interior a more up-to-date, modern finish. Two new 17,000 BTU AC units were installed in October 2020. The 3988 also comes with separate built-in heaters that were installed during the build from the factory.
"My Shell" has a deep cockpit with cockpit access though a cockpit engine room door, a swim platform and cockpit sunshade, access to the generator and bilge through the cockpit sole. "My Shell" is being sold with a 9’ Avon hard bottom inflatable powered by a 6 HP Yamaha outboard and a portable dive compressor.

Vessel Walkthrough Galley, Salon and Dinette:
Enter the salon though the sliding cockpit door. The salon has an updated sole with a PVC product that imitates Teak and Holly. On the hull sides and on the aft salon bulkhead are windows that can slide open. There is good storage in the salon along with the salon ice maker and electrical panel. Port side is the dinette that can be converted into a sleeper. Under the sofa you will see the new 17,000 BTU AC unit and storage. The Galley is up on the starboard side the countertops are tiled. In the galley you will see a microwave oven, a Princess three-burner cook top oven, twin side-by-side fridges, double stainless steel sink and good cupboard and pullout drawer storage.
Berths:
Guest berth is in mid ships and on the port side with a solid privacy door, in the room is a hull side window, a hanging closet and access to the guest head along with access to a large storage area. Owners berth is forward with an inline queen bed. In the berth you will find hull side storage, port and starboard side closets and pull out drawers under the bed. The owners berth has a deck hatch along with a solid privacy door the berth is bright with good headroom. The new forward 17,000 BTU AC unit is under the bed.
Heads:
Both heads have solid privacy doors.
Guest head is a wet head with commode, sink and vanity.
Master head has a commode, sink, vanity and separate sit down bathtub.
Cockpit and Hull:
"My Shell" has a deep cockpit with molded in boarding steps on the port and starboard sides. On the transom is the transom gate and cockpit shower. Attached to the transom is a swim platform with ladder and covering the cockpit is a canvas sunshade.
The vessel has a decent walk around with bow rail and hand grab rail. There is a removable sunpad that can sit on the foredeck. At the bow is the pulpit, windlass with foot controls and remote bow light.
Electronics and Helm:
The upper helm is covered with a complete canvas enclosure. The eisenglass is in good condition. The upper bridge seating consists of L-Shaped seating that has been reupholstered, and two Captain seats. The interior helm is in front of the galley with a foldaway helm seat.
