The Balance 601 is a sort of high performance Toyota Land Cruiser. She is very fast, but her design focus was to carry massive loads and be tough enough to voyage anywhere in the world. In rough seas she has the clearance "to ride over the top" and is happy to sail in the 9 to 12 knots range all day long without being hard pressed, even while carrying every piece of cruising kit and toy imaginable.
