DESCRIPTION

For sale with delivery available across the globe,Virgin Atlantic Challenger 2 is in commission, fully coded and will be serviced and anti-fouled before going to a new owner with full training on the boat and its systems. Built in 1986 at the Brookes yard UK,VAC2 was built in less than 12 months from start to finish after Richard Bransons first transatlantic challenger sank with the record in sight.A Levi hull design with surface drives, she packs 4000hp restricted HP and is still capable of over 50mph in rough water. She has done less than 900 hours in total run time since build and as you can see on this page, was totally re-furbished back in 2013 at a significant cost to her current owner. Virgin Atlantic Challenger 2 is the sole surviving British Icon from a time when men were real men!Pioneering times...Dangerous times(and that was just the haircuts!)Remember...this boat crossed the Atlantic in record breaking time before there was anything like AIS..Even GPS was nothing like it is today.Proper boat with an adventurous crew and now it can be your turn. Her significantly reduced asking price makes her affordable and her running costs are no more than any other boat of this ilk.In fact, her on going maintenance costs are less than a more modern engine as she is simpler with no costly electronics. Very seriously for sale at stg £650,000.00 taxes paid this is a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.
