This classic Swan 46 is equipped for easy family cruising.
Following a study of the market and visits to many yachts, SWANSONG was selected in January 2015 by her current owners as the best Swan 46 available on the world market in terms of condition and maintenance. The yacht had many recent upgrades, such as new teak decking in 2012 and new rigging in 2010. SWANSONG was purchased to safely sail to Australia from the Netherlands. She has now fulfilled her owners dream whilst enjoying even further upgrades, such as rig servicing and a new Volvo D2 55HP engine, along the way.
Being hull number 46-078 SWANSONG is a late model and sports a modern 3 cabin layout with plenty of light and ventilation, whilst combining the typical Nautor highest quality satin teak joinery, fittings and furnishings throughout. Designed for luxury family cruising she provides a lot of space in each compartment. There is a large aft stateroom, a full L shaped galley, dedicated chart table and a huge saloon area to relax in. The two “bathrooms” with showers make living on board comfortable.
The German Frers hull is powerful and solid whilst forgiving in any ocean condition. This is a performance cruising yacht that provides luxury, comfort, safety and satisfying speed for a proud and discerning owner. However the Reckmann hydraulic in mast furling mainsail and headsail, along with electric primary winches make shorthanded sailing a breeze.
Some highlights of the extensive inventory not mentioned above include Eberspächer B8LC heating system (new 2013), B&G instrumentation, Raytheon autopilot and radar, Raymarine chat plotter, 24/2000W inverter, bimini, white painted three spreader extra tall mast, longer boom, Navtec hydraulic backstay and vang, recently replaced Harken jib track and cars, plenty of safety gear, spares and more.
