This Windy 8800 is a fabulous Sports Cruiser, built to the highest specification by one of Scandinavia's best boat builders. This Windy 8800 is a credit to its owner. This Sports Cruiser, designed for weekend cruises is in a lovely condition for its year. It has been owned by the current owner from new - 26 years. Recent upgrades include 2 new Volvo Penta AQ211 210HP V8 engines, re-conditioned outdrives, new pumps everywhere, new fridge, wiper motors, batteries and overall grey canopy cover. Has a De Graaf 3500 trailer. (Available via separate negotiation) The trailer had new axles and tow assembly/over-run brakes fitted in 2012. The frame was also stripped and resprayed and all reassembled. New lighting and mudguards etc. fitted in 2012. This Sports Cruiser is also on the Small Ships Register. The vessel is only being sold as the owner has purchased a larger Windy.

This Windy 8800 Sports Cruiser, designed for weekend cruises, offers 2 berths in one cabin with 1.6m headroom. The Saloon area has two settee berths with grey upholstery, with storage beneath, with a central saloon table that will drop to make a large double berth. The saloon has carpets and curtains fitted.
Aft of the saloon and to starboard is a Heads compartment with marine toilet and hand basin with pressurised cold water. 90 litre water tank.
Opposite the heads is the galley with single sink with pressurised hot & cold water, 2 burner gas cooker (pipes replaced 2012), 12v Fridge new 2012 and good storage space for crockery and cutlery.
The companionway steps led up to a large cockpit with a large U shaped aft settee with cockpit table that also drops to make the aft settee into a large sunbathing area. There is a helmsman’s seat and co-pilots seat that also swivel to face aft. There is a bathing ladder that leads down to the bathing platform.
This Windy 8800 Sports Cruiser has two Volvo Penta AQ211 210HP V8s naturally aspirated petrol engines located under aft cockpit floor. These engines were fitted new in 2012. The engines have done approximately 100 hours since and were fitted and were last serviced in April 2015. Owner has full service history. It has outdrives that were fully reconditioned in 2012 to aluminium variable pitched three blade fixed propellers. New rams, trim-tabs pumps, Morse controls were also fitted in 2012. Seawater cooled with dual lever Morse controls. 400 Litre stainless steel fuel tank. This sports cruiser will cruise at 25-30 knots and has a maximum speed of 40 knots.
3 x 12 volt batteries (2 x engine + 1 x domestic) all new in 2015 charging from alternator and battery charger.
Deep V shaped Hull
Built by Windy in 1989. White Deep V GRP constructed hull with white GRP superstructure. This Sports Cruiser has been owned by the current owner for the last 26 years and has been extremely well maintained including new engines in 2012. Last out of the water in April 2015 when the engines and legs were last serviced. Anodes changed and hull antifouled.
