The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Comments

Since purchasing the boat in 04/16 I have sailed her extensively in the Ionian islands, mainly single-handed. The sails are easy to handle single handed, with the help of the autopilot holding direction. They provide enough drive to take the boat over 6 knots in the right wind conditions. At 2200rpm the engine drives the boat at 5.5 to 6 knots. I set myself a maximum of 2500rpm.

The accommodation is comfortable. I have tended to breakfast and lunch on board while using tavernas in the evening and the on-board facilities have been ideal for this lifestyle. The new refrigeration works very well powered by solar in the cloudless weather.

Much of the work I have had done on the boat is to make single-handing easier. Other work has been to replace or improve parts of the boat expected after 30 years of use.

She is a robust boat designed for British waters which allows her to carry on in conditions when other boats seek shelter. Her shallow depth has often allowed me to find space in crowded anchorages, for example in Lakka.

I am selling her to allow me to build on the experience gained sailing her single-handed by chartering and crewing in other waters.

Cruising History
Current owner bought in 2016 and has sailed extensively in the Ionian
Previous owners Purchased in 2009.
Cruising out of Bangor (North Wales) in April 2012.
Transported overland by low loader to Izola Marina (Slovenia).
Owners then sailed her down to Adriatic visiting Slovenia- Croatia and Montenegro.
After that they sailed straight down to Corfu and made port of entry for Greece (30/5/2012)
Since then they have been cruising the Ionian.
