The Sovereign 400 was designed by Rob Humphries as a fast and powerful offshore cruiser, suitable for blue water sailing with minimal crew. She is heavily constructed, and has a full lead keel for maximum performance. There is accommodation for seven persons on board in an attractive hand-finished interior with two heads/shower compartments, and she is equipped to a high standard.

Construction:
GRP and Balsa sandwich construction.
The hull incorporates 2 transverse longitudinal stringers with 9 ring frames to provide added hull strength and stiffness.
Hull to deck joint with polyurethane sealant and mechanical fasteners.
Bulkheads bonded to hull and deck.
The keel is lead antimony.
