Liberty Yachts was founded in 1976 in West Palm Beach, FL and purchased in the late 1990's by naval architect Joe Corvelli. Corvelli designed the 45 along with Charles Janice with a sharp focus on layout and functionality. The Liberty 45 was built to branch out from the already existing successful 42 hull which they offered in an open and convertible model. The Liberty 45 is designed and built with a low center of gravity and a low profile providing a stable ride and functional layout. Powered by a pair of 900HP common rail MAN engines, she easily cruises along at 30 knots burning 50 GPH with a top speed of 38 knots. Most of the boat is built using Nidacore honeycomb coring and other various core materials including the joinery and countertops to keep weight down and also serves as a great sound barrier.
