Ankle Deep is a 42' Lagoon that is both fast and equipped for extended Islands and blue water cruising. She was originally commissioned as a four stateroom charter version, current configuration is more similar to an owners version.
New exterior paintand both engines have been replaced (2001) and recently (2013) rebuilt. Other new items include all new electrical systems and plumbing, new mast and boom (2001) and new sails (2013). All new standing rigging (2001)and running rigging ( 2012). The owner also added, during refit, custom dagger boards to allow her to sail a true course with improved performance up wind. All of the heavy lifting has been completed for this vessel. Interior finishes remain for completion by the new owners. Lots of space for additional equipment and options.
Don't miss this opportunity to own a fast and comfortable Catamaran for under 150K
Great opportunity to own a very capable and roomy Cruising Catamaran at an affordable price! All of the hard and expensive work has been completed on Ankle Deep, Sails alone Valued at 60K. All she needs now is a new owner to finish the interior, which would include installing Captains Head, repair or replace some headliners, install the New water maker and decide what type of Refrigeration to install. Last bottom job was 2016, blisters were fixed 2 coats of epoxy and ablative paint were applied and she is cleaned regularly.
The lagoon 42 is the result of an association between two of the Worlds leading Sailboat builders, Jenneau and Tillotson Pearson. The Lagoon s a craft which combines an excellent layout with a capability of sailing very fast. She utilizes glass cloths, vinylester resins, balsa cored construction and leading molding techniques that have been perfected over more than five decades of combined manufacturing experience. This boat has two aft sleeping cabins, one forward sleeping cabin and interior contemporary design.
Upon stepping aboard Ankle Deep into the uncluttered Cockpit and helm area with comfortable seating for eight or more, you immediately notice the headroom under the Bimini Top is exceptional. There are two seating storage compartments. The Dinghy Davits are positioned between the two sets of molded stern steps leading down to the water line.
Going forward the hull and decks and non skid are in great condition. Moving to Port you will find the Sail Locker at the Bow Hull and Trampoline. Forward of the Main Cabin on deck are two large storage lockers below deck for the Windlass rode and line, propane tank, outboard engine storage, deck lines and fenders.
The interior Cabin features a centered salon settee with surround seating. Five fixed panel cabin lights wrap above the settee. On the Port hull at the Center is the Galley with a large pantry for storage and a Future Head Forward and Owners Stateroom Aft. On the Starboard hull center is a passageway with the head on the outboard side (Electrasan new to be installed ) and the Electrical systems wall mounted for easy access. Forward and aft on Starboard are two sleeping cabins.
There are eleven non-leaking deck hatches.
Two Yanmar 3GM30 Diesel engines installed in 2001 during refit, rebuilt in 2013 and between current owner and last who have both used the boat lightly estimated hours under 500 but no hour meters to verify.
