Hunter Horizon 272 sailing yacht for sale. 'Nimrod' is a very nice example of this popular family cruiser which has bilge keels, making her ideal for coastal sailing and exploring shallow waters. She has generous accommodation for her size with 5 berths in 2 cabins and a separate heads. She has had numerous upgrades including a new Yanmar 2GM20 18hp engine in 1998 and was had Coppercoat antifoul applied in 2017.

Mechanical and Rigging : Construction

Twin keel aft cockpit auxiliary sloop. Designed by David Thomas, built and fitted out by Hunter Boats Ltd, Essex in 1990. Blue GRP hull with raked stem and stern. External cast iron twin keels with spade rudder and tiller steering. White GRP deck, superstructure and self-draining aft cockpit. GRP internal moulding with teak joinery and laminate surface galley work surface. Fuel tank in fibreglass tank (approx. 25 litres capacity) in cockpit locker. Water tank, capacity unknown. Hull Coppercoated in 2017, with the remainder of 10-year warranty valid. Engine

Yanmar 2GM20YEU two cylinder 18 hp diesel engine located under companionway and new circa 1998. Shaft drive to two blade Brunton folding propeller (2009). Morse controls. Electric start. 25 litre fuel tank. 12 volt battery x 2 charging from alternator on the engine. Interior lighting.
