Hardy Marine, as their name suggests, build robust, quality craft capable of enduring our British weather. The Hardy Pilot 20 SE is equally at home on canals and rivers as she is in the open sea. Her semi-displacement hull is manoeuvrable at low and medium speeds making driving this boat very enjoyable indeed. This boat as an all white hull making maintenance of the hull very easy.Remarks :

Her semi-displacement hull is manoeuvrable at low and medium speeds making driving this boat very enjoyable indeed. This boat as an all white hull making maintenance of the hull very easy. No constant polishing of the fading blue band that can, unfortunately, characterise these craft. The vessel sports a usable three berth cabin with an occasional table and a separate heads compartment. The half wheelhouse has the helm to starboard and a functional galley to port. No cooking smells in this boat. Decent sized cockpit with seating to the rear. Teak and holly flooring adds a touch of class to this super boat. Honda 50hp four-stroke outboard offers reliability and a top speed of 14 knots. Garmin colour plotter and Garmin fish finder.
Accommodation :
Cabin is entered by removing wash boards and a lower door. The cabin has an enclosed heads forward of helm position with sea toilet and ladge for wash bowl. There is a decent sitting area in bow with central table. These are used as berths. Aft on the port side there is additional cushions to make a quarter berth. In the cockpit, a further berth can be made by the addition of a further cushion at transom. 12v lighting and opening roof hatch with ladder.

Mechanical :
Construction: GRP semi-displacement hull with white topsides and superstructure. Signature Hardy rope fender and additional D fender rubbing strake. Stainless steel bow rail with stanchions aft to the cockpit with guard wires. Aluminium stemhead fitting with anchor roller. Anchor locker with strong point. Easy access side decks with nonslip and handily placed teak grab rails. Large cockpit finished in teak & holly flooring. Drainage well aft with an automatic bilge pump. Locker storage port and starboard with new GRP locker tops and removable cushions. Half wheelhouse with opening roof hatch. Helm position with a traditional spoked wheel. Good visibility from the helm with perspex windows at the front and either side of the wheelhouse. The cockpit has a new mooring cover which keeps the weather out and is easily put on or off. The original cockpit enclosure with frame is available but not currently used. The galley is to port of wheelhouse and features a sink with hand pumped water and a single burner hob. Engine & Electrics: Vessel powered by a four-stroke Honda 50hp outboard. This electric start unit was fitted new in 2007 and has been well maintained. Most recent service was the end of 2018 season. 312 hours completed. 25-litre tank with gauge. Single lever engine control at the helm with throttle and fast idle. The engine provides a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots. Trim tabs fitted to help with planing. Bank of two, 12V batteries fitted with isolators. Batteries new 2015 and recharged via engine alternator.
