PSP Southampton Boat Show 2010 has arrived!

Today began this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show. Many are taking the opportunity to initiate new boats such as Sealine at the beginning of the day who launched Sealine F42, and Cornish Crabbers who are debuting their new Crabber 26, along with many others throughout the next ten days.

Raymarine have taken this opportunity to launch their new thermal imaging camera system for boats, with rivals Garmin introducing a new sailboat autopilot system.

It is also from today that people can begin nominations for the prestigious Yachtsman of the Year award. The Pantaenius stand at the Southampton boat show set in motion the nominations where members of the public can nominate candidates for Yachtsman of the year along with Young Sailor of the Year. Current holders being Samantha Davies – Yachtsman of the year 2009, and Phil Sparks partnered with Ben Gratton for the Young Sailors.

Day one is well under way with plenty more to come and lots to see in Southampton!
