Raising popularity for boating in France
French marine industry federation (FIN) has identified encouraging signs for French boating for the future. Although they still plan with caution over the autumns boat show season.
The rates of new boat registration has risen considerably from 17.46% up to 3.7% since September 2009. Along with engine sales rising, FIN believes this can generally be taken as an indication towards future boat sales.
Outboard sales are also up 4.5% compared to a 29.6% drop the previous year. Z-drive and stern drive sales are up to 10.5% contrasting to the drop of 45.2% and finally inboard sales are up to 4.4% distinctively from 47.4%.
The numbers of boats using French marinas remains constant, but with the duration of visits reduced. With the numbers of boat hire remain steady.
The heightened statistics support FIN’s positive outlook on the popularity for the boating future.
