Escape from fire
The captain of a boat in New Orleans has rescued 13 people from an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
He comments how the blast aboard was so sudden there was no time to get in to lifeboats.
The captain and workers were huddled together in the water, holding hands for two hours, feeling hungry and tired.
Spectators say there was plenty of smoke and flames but no oil was seen in the water, and we are not yet clear on how or why the flames began.
