Images have been released of the Spirit of Chartwell, with the transformation to a royal barge having been designed by Joseph Bennett, and due to transport the Queen down the Thames during her Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year.

In 2007, a fire caused by an industrial vacuum cleaner lead to the famous vessel, Cutty Sark to be victim to £10m worth of damage.
However, work is now in progress to repair the vessel which will be officially reopened by her majesty the Queen in late April 2012.

Suggestions have been made for the HMS Ark Royal to be sunk in Lyme Bay to form Britain’s largest artificial reef.
