| Description | Superb example of the popular X35 one deisgn calss. Excellent value and easy to go and view as she is located in Genoa. Specificatio nHistory:Undertook all X-35 calender regattas in 2008 and 2009; during 2010 and 2011 she only took part in Millevele (Genova) and in-shore Giraglia. She was then chartered for the World Championship 2010 and for the winter regattas in Sanremo 2011.Construction: All X-Yachts are built in accordance with the European CE-Certification.RCD Status: The yacht conforms to the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorized A Ocean. One of the requirements, the category defines, is that a yacht must be designed to operate in waves of up to 7m and windows of Beaufort force 10 or less.Hull Construction: The outer surface skin laminate of the hull is laid up with vinylester resin. The hull is built in a sandwich construction made up of isolatic polyester resin and biaxial E-glass fabric. Further reinforcements include particular positioned biaxial E-glass fabric in high stress areas. Core material is 15-20mm compressed Divinycell with a density of 80-100kg/m3. The sea cocks for the through hull fittings are made of Naval brass. The white hull incorporates 3 x identical colored dark blue waterlines and a single recessed sheer stripe. Hull and deck are bonded together using a special silyl modified polymer adhesive. Carbon Racing Antifouling (2011).GRP Units: The X-35 is developed to a very high and modern standard, incorporating features such as a deck inner liner, integrated halogen light fittings and complete GRP head compartment. The hull inner liner is base for furniture support, and the structural hot-galvanised steel beams together with the reinforced composite frame absorbs the loads from keel and mast.Structural Bulkheads: Marine plywood is used, varying in thickness, securely bonded to both hull and deck.Deck: The deck is built in a sandwich construction made up of isolatic polyester resin and multi-axial E-glass fabric. The anti slip on the side decks is white. Teak is laid on the seats onto the cockpit seat surface. A 30mm high toe rail is fitted between bow and shrouds with stainless steel chamfer protection plates at bow.Keel & Rudder: The keel consists of an antimony hardened lead bulb with a cast iron fin for high strength and low centre of gravity. The keel is protected with a fiberglass/epoxy infused layer that protects the keel against corrosion. The rudder blade is a sandwich construction made from laminated biaxial fiberglass and 100kg/m3 Diviny cell. The rudder stock is solid aluminium, tapered at both ends to keep weight to a minimum, and incorporating three welded wings for improved strength. Roller bearings for the rudderstock achieve minimum friction and highest control, whereas the lower bearing is of the self-aligning type.Machinery: Engine & Gearboxes: A 3-cylinder Yanmar 20hp diesel engine mounted on rubber suspension with S-drive installation. The engine is run with a freshwater cooling system. The engine control panel is placed in a recess with plexiglass for protection. It incorporates an acoustic alarm for oil pressure and cooling water temperature. The throttle arm is placed in the cockpit coaming.Propulsion & Steering: The wheel steering consists of a chain and cable system connected to a quadrant that is securely fitted to the rudder stock. The wheel is 150cm in diameter in black powder coated aluminium with leather rim. The spare safety tiller fits on top of the rudder stock. 2-bladed folding propeller.Electrical Systems: Voltage Systems: 12v DC System:o X-Yachts main switchboard includes thermo fuses, 1 x analogue meter for monitoring actual voltage of service battery and for monitoring the actual level in the fuel tank.o The 12v DC system also includes a 12v DC plug located behind the electrical panel. 230v AC shore power system:o The yacht is fitted with a shore power charger with a 10A shore power inlet plug in the cockpit.o A 10A fuse box is located in the after locker.o A 230v AC distribution box with ground fault circuit breaker and a 230v AC plug are located at the navigation area.Battery Banks: 1 x 12v 120amps gel service. 1 x 12v 55amps engine spiral-cell battery.Plumbing Systems: Fresh Water & Water Heating System: Cold pressurized water system with pump. Mixing water taps are fitted in the head and in the galley. 15-litre hot water tank (80 C) can be heated by a heat exchanger connected to the engine, or it can be heated by an immersion heater connected to 220v shore power.Bilge Pumps: A central bilge is incorporated in the keel structure, which allows water to be collected here and disposed of by using the electrical pump (manual switch on the switchboard) or the hand operated pump positioned in the cockpit.Tankage:Fuel : Total capacity of approximately 50 litres in 1 x aluminium fuel tank with tank level gauge, deck fill, separator including filter and shut off valves.Fresh water: Total capacity of approximately 100 litres in 1 x plastic tank. |
