Below decks, two double cabins, a fully-fitted galley and separate heads/shower make her seriously comfortable at the end of a long day on the waterConstruction:Wi ndy are a product of traditional craftsmanship, enhanced with the aid of modern technology. The latest technological innovation is the Wintec hull concept, which gives improved performance, greater strength and reduced noise throughout the vessel. The hull is reinforced with advanced multi axial glass fibre matting and Divinycell core. This allows a reduction in the boats weight of up to 20% whilst offering noticeably improved stability. All the Windy models are CE-labelled. This means that Windy meets all the requirements laid down for quality control documentation and product liability within the EU.In the process of obtaining approval, the company has also introduced new methodologies construction principals and more advanced construction production equipment, resulting in more cost-effective and quality oriented processes in-house. But above all, Windy is a Boat Builder and not a manufacturer of boats, a philosophy which characterizes their production staff and all those within their distribution network.Lay Up Weights (Reinforcement Only)Deck - 9.05oz/ft2 (2.9kg/m2)Topsides 12.8ozChine 21.6oz/ft2 (6.6kg/m2)Bottom 19.3oz/ft2 (5.9kg/m2)Keel 37.4oz/ft2 (11.4kgm2Engine Configuration & Machinery details:2 x Volvo D6-350 (350HP) diesel engines2 x Volvo Duo Prop outdrivesVolvo EVC throttle controls (fly by wire)Engine hours Circa 200 (serviced March 2011)Sea-Fire auto. engine bay extinguishingPerform ance: (Note These figures are taken from Volvo tests and are intended as a guide only)Revs Knots L/NM L/H DBA1000 7.9 1.01 8 641500 11.0 1.81 20 742000 20.0 2.10 42 762200 23.8 2.10 50 772400 27.9 2.15 60 792600 30.6 2.29 70 802800 33.5 2.39 80 823000 36.8 2.55 94 813200 39.7 2.82 112 813400 41.6 3.12 130 823560 43.4 3.30 146 84The D6-350 DP is the Aquamatic version with a Duoprop drive. With its 350 horsepower, it is the most powerful diesel engine with sterndrive in the world. A 5.5-litre cylinder volume, common rail direct injection, a mechanical compressor combined with turbo, charge-air cooling and four-valve technology all electronically controlled and monitored by the EVC system. The D6-350 gives fantastic performance under all operating conditions. The acceleration is particularly powerful, due to the mechanical turbo that revs up the torque straight from low rpms.
